Ductless mini-split heat pumps

Wall-mounted indoor units connected to an outdoor unit. A good fit for offices, tenant suites, server rooms, additions and spaces without ductwork.

Split systems & rooftop units

Ducted split-system heat pumps and packaged rooftop units that heat and cool offices, retail floors and other open spaces through existing ductwork.

Zoning & controls

FAQ

HVAC & heat pumps questions

What is the difference between a mini-split, a split system and a rooftop unit?

A mini-split is ductless: each indoor unit delivers air directly into a room or suite. A split system pairs an indoor air handler with an outdoor unit and moves air through ductwork. A packaged rooftop unit holds the main components in one cabinet on the roof and supplies air through ducts. We recommend the type that fits your building's layout and existing equipment.

Do heat pumps work during Southern California winters?

Yes. Modern heat pumps are designed to heat efficiently in mild climates like Southern California and also provide cooling in summer, which suits offices, retail spaces and apartment buildings.

How long does a commercial HVAC installation take?

Many mini-split installations are completed in one to two days. Split systems and rooftop unit replacements can take longer depending on ductwork, electrical needs, roof access and equipment lead times. We give you a timeline after the consultation and plan the work to limit downtime.

Which programs may help with a heat pump upgrade?

Depending on the property and location, programs such as TECH Clean California, SoCalREN, Comfi and Go Zero may support heat pump heating and cooling upgrades. Commercial and multifamily rebate programs may also apply. Each program sets its own eligibility, incentive amounts and funding, which can change, so we check eligibility before work starts.

Can a heat pump replace both a furnace and an air conditioner?

Yes. A heat pump provides both heating and cooling, so one system can take the place of a separate furnace and air conditioner. We check your ductwork, electrical service and floor layout to recommend the right setup for the building.

Do I need program approval before installation?

Some programs require you to apply or reserve funding before equipment is purchased or installed. We go over the steps with you before any work starts so the property does not lose eligibility.
